It might not be magic but this is a completely beautiful wonderful act using face tracking and 3D projection technology.

But just think around 177 years ago at The royal polytechnic Institute London a similar illusion “Peppers Ghost” was being show cased by John Pepper and Henry Dircks. (Peppers ghost is an illusion technique used in theatre haunted houses, dark rides and magic tricks. Most famously used in Disneys Haunted mansion attractions).

A viewer looking through the red rectangle sees a ghost floating next to the table. The illusion is done by a large piece of glass, Plexiglas or plastic film situated at an angle between viewer and scene (green outline). The glass reflects a room hidden from the viewer (left), sometimes called a “Blue Room,” that is built as mirror-image of the scene.
